Like many other writers, lockdown was an almost impossible time to think about writing. There just wasn’t any space in my mind for focus or concentration, and there also wasn’t a physical space to write anymore given my family were all at home working and studying too. So, I didn’t write for a while. I took the pressure off, until an idea came, and then I started again. I wrote by hand in a notebook, rather than on the laptop, and mainly for myself. Just a little piece of writing each day. And when the story started to take shape and eventually felt complete, I shared it with a few people I trust. It was their feedback and advice that encouraged me to share the story here. I hope you will find something in it that you like, and if you do, perhaps you’ll go on to share it with someone else.
